Raymond Luczak

Author

Playwright, filmmaker, essayist, and novelist, Raymond Luczak grew up in the small mining town of Ironwood, Michigan, attended local parochial schools, and moved to Manhattan after graduating from Gallaudet University with a B.A. in English; he now lives and writes in Minnesota. He edited the anthology Eyes of Desire: A Deaf Gay & Lesbian Reader (1993). His collection of autobiographical poems, St. Michael’s Fall, was published by Deaf Life Press in 1996. Other poems, stories, and essays have been published and featured in various anthologies and magazines, and 13 of his plays have been workshopped or mainstaged across the nation. He’s had fun with alternative formats; his novel-in-progress Lansel is available in weekly installments on the Tactile Mind Weekly e-zine.
