Angela Jones

President of RID (2005-2007)

Angela Jones is currently serving her second term as President of the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf, having served since August 2003. She grew up in Gooding, Idaho, where she had her first exposure to ASL. She earned her A.A. degree in American Sign Language from Mesa College (San Diego), in 1993, and her B.S. in Business Management from the University of Phoenix (San Diego) in 2001. She holds a Certificate of Interpretation (CI) and Certificate of Transliteration (CT) from RID. Previous to her election as RID President, she served on the RID national board as Region V Representative for 5 years. She resides in San Diego with her husband of 18 years, working as interpreter, administrator, and business owner.
